The laboratory mixer is developed to make the optimisation of your compounds as efficient as possible and act as your reliable partner for optimising your products.

Tecnolab Mixing Mill with two horizontal parallel twin rolls, designed to work with variable speed and friction is available in 3 sizes:

150 x 330, 160 x 400, 300 x 600.

Safety protection covers all the working length of the rolls, formed by two hinged half-shells built in tubular bars allowing the rubber strips feeding. It is provided with a micro-switch device actIvated if its position is moved.

Safety brake system is activated by any of the following devices:

  • Safety protection of the rolls

  • Front/rear knee brake

  • Emergency push-button located on the control panel.

Pressing one of these devices, micro-switches are activated and stop the machine, within a roll path circumference of less than to 57°. The machine is fitted with a testing and measuring device of the brake system.


An adjustable control panel is placed on the frame of the machine and contains the following elements:

  • Switch with key and control pilot light for the main tension

  • Potentiometer for speed selection

  • Roll speed indication

  • Pushbuttons and control pilot light of the drive motors.

  • Selector and pushbutton to reverse the sense of rotation of the rolls.

  • Selector with key for braking test

  • “Reset” button

Motors with frequency variator and electrical equipment:

  • Construction form: V1

  • Power of each motor (kW): 2x5,5 or 2x11 kW. See Technical Data.

  • Variable speed by frequency variator

  • Motor protection: IP-55

  • Break system: Mechanical brake system inside each motor is operated when emergency stops are activated.

  • Tension supply: 400V 3 Ph 50Hz

  • Tension controls: 24V DC

Structure:

Compact machine fitted with anti-vibration mountings and provided with a stainless steel tray under the rolls.

The roll nip adjustment is hand operated by two ratchets provided with precision nuts and screws applied to the front or mobile roll. The nip between rolls is indicated on millimetric scale dials, with an accuracy of 0,1mm. The mechanical nip adjustment embodies two safety plates easily replaceable in case of breakage due to any overload.

Digital roll gap display: Installation of two linear potentiometers to measure the gap between the rolls (left and right). The signal is indicated at the control panel with two digit display (2 digits after decimal point).

Stock guides: The ends of the rolls are limited by two displaceable bronze stock guides, allowing the following working length: 146 - 295 or 265 - 365 or 460 - 560. See Technical Data.

Gearbox and couplings: The Gearboxes, with orthogonal inlet and outlet shafts, are fitted within the structure of the machine and have an outlet shaft for the direct drive of each roll, rear and front. The link between the two gearbox outlet shafts and the rolls is through heavy-duty bow teeth universal couplings, in hardened and ground steel.

Self-lubrication system: Supply a self-lubrication system that periodically injects grease at the greasing points. No attention is required between changing of lubricant periodically.


Temperature control unit water - regulation system by closed circuits thermofluid, applied to each roll.

It controls and regulates with precision the emperature of both rolls by automatic cooling or heating, in accordance with digital electronic temperature regulator of double signal, for each one of the two zones.
